Casey and Simeon wed at the bride’s family home on picturesque Lake Martin. This elegant summer wedding was personal and intimate. Friends and family gathered by the water for a lake-view ceremony. After the “I do’s,” the couple was joined by guests on the patio of the family’s home for the reception.
Under light draping, the tables were covered in blue and tan – complimenting the lake and outdoor space. Gold candelabras, greenery, lanterns and pastel flowers topped the tables. The lush florals complemented the natural beauty of the outdoor space as well as brought in splashes of color. Black and white wedding photographs of the bride and groom’s loved ones hung on the wall near the main dinner table. The candles and strung lights twinkled as evening fell, creating a soft-hearted ambiance.
Hors d’oeuvres of Roma Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella Caprese with Basil Pesto, Crispy Phyllo Tarts with Soy Ginger Thai Flank Steak, Wasabi Creme and Toasted Peanuts; Scallops Ceviche and Citrus Marinated Crab Claws were passed as guests arrived at the reception location.
The beautifully dressed tables were pre-set with Watermelon-Tomato Salad with Feta Cheese, Shaved Red Onion, Fresh Mint & Honey Balsamic Dressing served over a bed of Baby Spinach. The dinner was a buffet filled with Herb Crusted Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Sauce, Chicken Kabob Skewers, BBQ Rubbed Sliced Pork Tenderloin, Rosemary Roasted New Potatoes, Shrimp and Grits, Sauteed Haricot Vert and Succotash.
Simeon chose a dessert table, opposed to a traditional groom’s cake. His table of sweets included Tiramisu with Espresso Creme, Chocolate Mousse and Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee topped with Blueberries. What a sweet treat for guests!
