Grilled Shrimp Gumbo Pizza with Creole Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients:

Creole Alfredo Sauce

2 C Milk

3 T Flour

3 T Butter

¼ C Grated Parmesan

¼ C Pureed Roasted Red Peppers

1 t (or to taste) Chipotle Tabasco

1 T Blackening Seasoning

Grilled Shrimp Gumbo Pizza

1 10 in. Prebaked Pizza Crust or 1 8 0z Pizza Dough

1 C Flour

Olive Oil

8 – 10 Pieces of Fresh, Whole Okra

1 Large Red Onion

3 Large Heirloom Tomatoes

8 oz Boiled Shrimp (can purchase pre-boiled)

3 C Grated Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

Creole Alfredo Sauce

Heat Milk on the stove until scalding.

In a separate sauce pan, mix Flour and Butter over low heat. Stirring until it is smooth.

Add the Milk to the Flour and Butter until the mixture thickens.

Add Parmesan, Roasted Peppers and Chipotle Tabasco.

Season with Blackening Seasoning.

Grilled Shrimp Gumbo Pizza

If you did not buy pre-boiled shrimp, boil shrimp until it is cooked through.

Cut fresh Okra into halves. Drizzle Okra with Olive Oil, then season with Salt and Pepper. Grill on a cast iron grill on your stove for 5 minutes.

Cut Red Onions into 4 round slices. Drizzle with Olive Oil, and then grill on cast iron grill for 10 minutes. Let cool and medium dice.

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Sprinkle flour onto baking sheet, then lay prebaked pizza crust on top or roll out pizza dough with a rolling pin before placing on the sheet.

Spread Creole Alfredo Sauce over Pizza Crust.

Spread the Grilled Okra and Grilled Red Onion over the Creole Alfredo Sauce. Medium dice the Heirloom Tomatoes and add them to the top of the pizza. Lay the Boiled Shrimp over the vegetables. Sprinkle the grated Mozzarella over the top of the pizza.

Bake the Grilled Shrimp Gumbo Pizza for 15 – 20 minutes or until the pizza is golden brown.
