Form the dough into about 8 finger-like shapes (less than about 1 in. wide). 8. Use a sharp utensil to draw knuckles and mold the dough until the fingers are eerily life-like. 9. Place an Almond Half on top to look like a finger nail. To really make it look creepy and crawly, try lightly brushing the Almond Half with Chocolate or Red Food Coloring to make it appear even more haunting. 10. Gently brush the fingers with Egg White and bake on a greased cookie sheet for about 15 minutes or until golden brown. 11. Repeat steps 6-10 for the second half of the Lady Finger dough. 12. When all of your Lady Fingers are baked to perfection, use Cherry or Raspberry Pie Filling to make the fingers appear to ooze blood.  ...

2014 Catersource Conference & Tradeshow

March 23-28th | The Paris Grand Hotel & Casino The Kathy G. & Company team recently visited “Sin City for the annual Catersource Conference & Tradeshow, which was held at The Paris Grand Hotel & Casino. Numerous industry leaders held daily sessions for guests each with a new and exciting topic. Kathy G. & Company held a demonstration/DIY session for dazzling design and extraordinary cuisine. The demonstration revolved around how to create a floating table, using an 8’ x 4’ sheet of clear Lucite, for any occasion. Kathy, along with her son and Executive Chef, Jason Mezrano, drew the crowd in with an “Asian Themed Floating Table”.   The table, set for a seated dinner of eight, included a mix between traditional and modern components for both the design and menu.  An overhead armature made from bamboo poles created the structure for the suspended white paper lanterns. Next, the team demonstrated a floating “Farm to Table” design.  This table showed off the simplicity and versatility of the lucite placed atop two weathered saw horses.  This look provides a modern twist with classic Southern style.  Set for a Family style dinner, the table displayed Southern cuisine in beautiful pieces from Earthborn Pottery. Finally, the Team dropped the curtain, which covered this table during the other demonstrations, and the crowd was blown away! The “Glitz & Glam Floating Table” was set up buffet style with assorted mini sweets and flirty cocktails.  The table dripped with dozens of rhinestones and crystals.  There is no surprise Kathy used this table design at her own Red Carpet Birthday Party last July. The session ended with a brief Q & A while guest were invited on stage for a closer look at The Art of Kathy G....
