Sara Beth & Trae’s Southern Sophistication Wedding Celebration

Sara Beth Witcher and Trae Norrell tied the knot at First Baptist Church in Cullman, Alabama. Kathy G. & Company was pleased to help the couple celebrate by handling their catering needs. The pair chose a down-home Southern cuisine menu for their special day. Kathy G. & Company introduced a new Southern Biscuit station to our menu for Sara Beth and Trae’s reception. This fun, new idea with a Southern sophistication twist was a huge hit! The Biscuit station included Homemade Chive, Sweet Potato and White Cheddar Fluffy Biscuits. Along with the Biscuits came sweet and savory toppings galore that included Chilton County Peach Chutney, Fresh Macerated Blackberries and Blueberries, Grape Jelly, Strawberry Jam, Fig Preserves, Jalapeno Orange Marmalade, Orange Blossom Honey and Whipped Butter. Adding to the Southern charm, the yummy toppings were in mason jars with fun blue and white signage. Another Southern sensation, Shrimp and Grits, was a featured station that included Sautéed Fresh Gulf Shrimp with Tomatoes, Garlic, White Wine and Butter in a cosmos glass. What Southern event would be complete without a grandmother’s recipe? One of the grandmothers provided Grilled Pork Tenderloin with her special, secret sauce. Other Southern favorites highlighted at the wedding include mini BLT’s with Roma Tomato, Apple Smoked Bacon, Arugala and Remoulade, Homemade Cheddar Mac and Cheese Bites, Stuffed Mushrooms with Spinach, Artichoke and Parmesan, Fried Green Tomatoes with Remoulade Drizzle and Homemade Sweet Potato and Parmesan Chips with Bleu Cheese, Ranch and French Onion dipping sauces. The bride and groom chose a tasty beverage trio for their celebration. The trio included Sweet Tea, Raspberry Lemonade with floating fruit and Spa Water. The guests drank out of mason jars with vintage striped paper straws. We loved your Southern sophistication celebration, Sara Beth and Trae!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Location: Terri Pines Country Club Caterer: Kathy G. & Company Flowers: Serendipity Photographer: Amanda Pair Photography Band: The...

Melissa and Neil’s Wedding at the Garden’s Cafe by Kathy G

Melissa Hennessy and Neil Dougherty celebrated their wedding on Saturday with a reception at The Garden’s Café by Kathy G. The drum major groom and the head majorette bride at their alma matter Auburn University have been making memories as a couple for years, which was beautifully depicted at their June 29th reception. The couple looked to K.G. Designs and Kathy G. & Co. Catering for the event logistics. K.G. Designs created unique centerpieces that told stories about Melissa and Neil’s experiences as a couple. Each centerpiece, rare and picturesque in its own way, painted a portrait of their lives together and gave a glimpse into their happy future. Soft pink roses, baby’s breath and candlelight surrounded each representation of Melissa and Neil. One centerpiece represented the couple’s trip to Ireland where they collected souvenirs that were used in the centerpiece. The Irish fairy tale book, including the story of The Little Mermaid, and the seashells symbolize their expedition and the memories made there. To tie this fairy tale wedding together, Melissa and Neil chose a beautiful white cake adorned with light blue, candied roses by Dreamcakes. Atop was the silhouette of Cinderella and her Prince Charming. Kathy G. & Co., K.G. Designs and The Garden’s Café by Kathy G. wish Melissa and Neil a perfect happily ever after!
